Building confidence and presentation skills for high-stakes internal presentations
DraftKings partnered with Fearless to support employees preparing to deliver presentations at a company-wide internal event attended by senior leaders and executives.
While many participants regularly presented within the business, this event represented a particularly high-profile opportunity to communicate ideas, share updates and engage senior stakeholders. The organisation recognised an opportunity to equip employees with practical presentation skills and greater confidence ahead of these important internal presentations.
Fearless delivered a series of bespoke Presentation Skills Masterclasses, designed to help participants communicate with greater confidence, clarity and impact when presenting to colleagues, senior leaders and executive audiences.
The bite-sized format aligned with DraftKings' fast-paced culture, providing an accessible way for employees across multiple teams and locations to develop their presentation and public speaking skills alongside their day-to-day responsibilities.
Using the Fearless Methodology™, the sessions combined practical speaking exercises, coaching, feedback and reflection, allowing participants to apply techniques immediately in a supportive environment.
Key focus areas included:
• Building confidence when presenting: Developing practical strategies to manage nerves and approach presentations with greater confidence and composure.
• Presentation delivery and audience engagement: Using body language, vocal delivery and presentation techniques to communicate with greater impact.
• Executive presence and gravitas: Building credibility and authority through confident communication, clear messaging and purposeful delivery.
• Practical presentation skills: Applying new techniques through speaking exercises, roleplay and real workplace scenarios.
By practising in realistic presentation situations, participants developed greater confidence ahead of their upcoming company-wide presentations while building communication skills they could continue to apply in day-to-day meetings and future speaking opportunities.
